Hot Handles

21/7/2015

There is something seductive about architectural hardware. I love how France still has hardware shops and how you see handsome handles on those huge everyday exterior doors.  France is serious about door handles and now this it seems we Brits are too.

Handles are decorative details worthy of serious consideration in interior design schemes.

Haute Deco have brought about a renaissance at the high-end of architectural hardware, offering diverse and distinctive handles which make the perfect finishing touches.

Ochre has the most sublime selection of interior handles, which like its furnishings, are exquisitely tactile and crave craftsmanship.

The Ochre handle family has grown, introducing Viking, a striking design that is carved in fine walnut with a burnished antique brass knuckle.

The new wrapped leather handles are baton shaped. Bound in leather and fixed with sculptured metal handles, these prize a subtle glamour.

All Ochre leathers are unique hand-dyed shades in evocative seascape tones and rich berry hues of blackcurrent, blueberry, beet, chilli, truffle, sage, mushroom and quince.

I own a few of Ochre’s finely crafted horn handles. I am now wishing I had some really tall doors for those strong Vikings.
