Templeton

14/5/2015

I am so very blessed to work with some of the best names in interior design. Jamb represents Michael S Smith collections of country house fabrics in the UK and there is a beautiful synergy that fits seamlessly with the Jamb aesthetic.

Michael Smith is one of the most original and respected talents in the design industry today. His style is a seamless blend of European classicism and modernism.

Leave it to Michael S. Smith to come up another great line of fabrics. The true design cognoscenti are familiar with his Jasper, range – an American take on classic English country-house décor.  But his new Templeton well, this is a breath of fresh air - a modern twist on Michael S Smith’s style with brilliant graphic motifs, refreshing colour and luxurious weaves.

Templeton was inspired by Charles Templeton Crocker’s 1929 home in the Russian Hill section of San Francisco. That year Vogue magazine described the apartment as “perhaps the most beautiful in the world”. The exquisite interior was designed by Jean Michel Frank and Templeton Crocker was one of his first American clients.

Charles Templeton Crocker's life-long desire was to work with the most sophisticated designers as well as his pursuit of the most beautiful objects in the world. Sourced from generations-old hand-blocking houses in Southeast Asia to mills in the countryside of Scotland and Belgium, Templeton is a bold, modern approach to textiles created by the most talented master craftsmen in the world.
